BIETC certificate
Gabon's cargo tracking note, required for shipments to Owendo and Port-Gentil.
What is a BIETC?
The BIETC is Gabon's cargo declaration, filed before loading for containerised imports. Gabon operates two commercial ports, Owendo serving Libreville and Port-Gentil serving the oil sector.
A substantial share of Gabonese imports supports the timber and petroleum industries, which means equipment and specialist cargo where declared description and value are closely examined. The declaration gives customs that detail before arrival.
